Baccarat Banque Rules: How It's Played

Baccarat banque is a game played more popularly in France and other European casinos. Baccarat banque rules are unique than other game variants of baccarat and may appear more complex. But it is even simpler than other baccarat variants, for in baccarat banque, you're either a player or the banker, and your bet is role-based. To understand fully the game, let's take a look at baccarat banque rules.

Our first stop, baccarat banque rules on dealing of cards.

In baccarat banque, only 3 decks of cards form a shoe. Though there's a croupier or casino dealer, the banker role is auctioned for the players at the beginning of the game. In baccarat banque, the dealer/banker role does not rotate among players.

In some variants of the game, the casino funds the game, while in other variants, the banker-player does.

The banker role is determined at the outset of the game. It may be given to the player with the biggest bet to risk, or it may be given to the first player on the list. After the banker is determined, the croupier shuffles the cards, hand the shoe to players for the same purpose, before giving the shoe to the banker. Then banker then shuffles the cards together and then chooses a player to cut the deck.

In baccarat banque, three hands are dealt--- two Player hands and one Banker hand. Baccarat banque also goes by the name deux tableux, which means "two tables." A baccarat banque table is like that--- two tables conjoined. A baccarat banque table has ten seats. Both left and right sides of the table hold 5 seats each.

One Player hand is dealt on the right side of the table, the other Player hand is dealt on the left hand of the table. The Banker hand is dealt in front of the banker in the middle of the table. All hands consist of 2 cards.

    Baccarat banque rules on betting:

    1. Players can bet on Player hand only, and banker can bet on Banker hand only. A player can bet only on the Player hand on their side of the table. If they wish to bet on two Player hands, they have to place their chips in the middle of the table.

    2. The total amount of wager on Player hands must no exceed the banker's wager. For instance, if the dealer has wagered $ 2000, 4 players may bet $500 each, or 2 players may wager $1000 each.

    3. A player may challenge the banker. This is referred to as "going bank." A player can "go bank" in order to bust the banker. To do, the player's bet must equal the banker's. Either the player bet full on a single hand or bet on two hands by placing their bet in the middle of the table. If the player beats the dealer, there would be a reversal of roles, and the player takes the banker's seat. If the player fails to beat the dealer after three consecutive tries, the player can no longer "go bank."

To recap, baccarat banque rules are unique from other variants of baccarat. For one, the game is played with three cards. Another reason is that players may bet on two hands. Baccarat banque rules are even more fun for players because they can use strategy to beat the banker. In baccarat banque, players may opt to draw or not draw a third card if their hand total is five and less.
